How long is GTSF Investments Committee mentorship?

Mentorship is an approximately 3 month process that runs during both the Spring and Fall semesters. Fall 2025 mentorship will take place from August 26th to November 25th.

How do I join the mentorship class for the Investments Committee?

To join the mailing list and be added to the Canvas page, click the Join Now button above. The sessions will be Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Walter G. Ehmer Theatre (John Lewis Student Center, Floor 3). You do not need any prior finance experience or a finance background to join.

What do I learn during the mentorship process?

During mentorship, you will learn about the basics of finance, accounting, and value investing. You will be taught different ways to value companies as well as how to construct a proper stock presentation.

Why should I join the GT Student Foundation Investments Committee?

  1. Gain knowledge about financial markets and the basics of investing

What is the time commitment for the mentorship program?

Attending weekly lectures and completing assignments take ~2-3 hours each week. During the semester, you will also have a midterm and final assessment as well as a final stock pitch.

Fall 2025 Info Session

We will have info sessions for mentorship which covers the structure of the Investments Committee, the basics of mentorship, and how to join. Attending the info session is not required for mentorship, however it is helpful.
